2019 Marble Falls Fireworks Spectacular FAQ

The Marble Falls Fireworks Spectacular features live music, fun activities, and, of course, a big fireworks show over Lake Marble Falls on July 4.

With a new name and a different location, organizers are fairly certain you have a few questions about this year’s Marble Falls July 4 celebration. Here are the most frequently asked questions about the 2019 Marble Falls Fireworks Spectacular:

Is the fireworks show going to be different this year?

The fireworks show will be even more impressive this year! The only thing that is different this year is the location of the celebration. The viewing site will be moved across the lake into the parking area and on the lawns of First Baptist Church, 901 La Ventana Drive.

Why has the event moved?

The 2019 celebration is taking place on the grounds of First Baptist Church as Lakeside Park undergoes major improvements. So many look forward to celebrating the Fourth of July in Marble Falls each year that organizers knew they had to find a place with an outstanding view that was large enough for the event. The fireworks still will be set off from Lake Marble Falls. Rest easy: The party moves back to the improved Lakeside Park in 2020.

Will we still be able to have a great view of the fireworks show?

Of course, you will! As mentioned, the fireworks show will be even more impressive this year, so organizers certainly want you to have some of the best seats. Guests should bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.

So, what exactly has changed with this event besides the name?

The city of Marble Falls has taken over this festive celebration in hopes of growing the event so even more visitors can enjoy the fun.

What time does the celebration start?

The fun starts at 4 PM, and the fireworks show will begin shortly after dark.

What time does the live music start?

Live music begins at 4 PM, and there are some great bands lined up, including The Steel Belts, Southern Underground, and, of course, the Hill Country Community Band.

What is there to do prior to the fireworks show?

There is so much to do before the main event that organizers hope you aren’t too tired to watch! There will be a rock climbing wall, bounce houses, waterslides, an interactive photo booth, giant lawn games, GaGa ball, and live music — and it is all FREE! Activities begin at 4 PM.

Can I bring a cooler and my own food and drinks?

Yes. Guests are welcome to bring coolers as well as their own food and drinks. Alcoholic beverages of all kinds are strictly prohibited as it is on church grounds. Glass bottles and containers are also prohibited.

Where do I park?

Parking will be in the First Baptist Church lots with overflow on Bendito Way and Corazon. There will be additional parking in the Gateway Park area with free shuttle buses running from 6-10 PM. Please use FM 2147 to Esperanza to access the the church parking lots and US 281 to Max Starcke Dam Road to access the Gateway Park parking area.

Can I buy food/drinks there?

Absolutely! In fact, the Marble Falls High School Band Boosters will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers to sell. Food trucks also will be on site.

Can I watch the show from my boat?

You can, but you will miss out on the fun. Boats are permitted on the lake during the fireworks show but must be in place by 8 PM.

Will there be a charge for any of this?

The celebration, activities, music, parking, and fireworks show are all FREE. If you would like to purchase food or drinks while at the celebration, you need to bring money.

Can I bring my dog?

No. As much as we love pets, they will need to sit this one out. The loud noises from the fireworks often scare dogs.

Where can my elderly family members watch the show?

The parking lot where the celebration will be held is a flat surface and easily accessible for wheelchairs and walkers. There will be Cool Zones inside the church and outside for people to cool off if the heat becomes an issue.
