Marble Falls holiday ice rink
Take to the ice deep in the heart of Texas from Nov. 20 through Jan. 2 at the holiday ice skating rink in Marble Falls. Located at Lakeside Park, this year’s rink features actual ice rather than the plastic version set up for three days last year.
This year’s rink will be open for six weeks at 305 Buena Vista Drive next to Walkway of Lights. Admission is $12 for ages 13 and above for one hour and $10 for 12 and under for one hour, which includes skates.
Ice Rinks Inc., based in Brenham, Texas, constructs temporary ice rinks around the world, including at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Bryant Park in New York City. It is most known, however, for the frozen sheets of ice it sets up in sunshine cities like San Diego, Santa Monica, California, and Mexico City.
The Marble Falls rink will be 44 feet by 68 feet. A limit of 50 skaters will be allowed on at a time.
Tickets and timeslots will be sold online in advance on the city’s holiday webpage at visitmarblefalls.org/Christmas, where you’ll find information on all of the city’s holiday happenings.
