Marble Falls Mayfest Returns May 5-8

Come to the carnival, visit the vendors, listen to live music, and more when Marble Falls Mayfest returns to Johnson Park on May 5-8. Admission is free!

Johnson Park, 230 Avenue J in Marble Falls, will be filled with four days of festive activities along the shore of Backbone Creek, beginning with the official opening of the carnival Wednesday, May 5. Carnival hours are 5 p.m. to midnight Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and noon to midnight Saturday, May 8.

Music kicks off with Tejano Night featuring DJ Freddie from 5-11 p.m. Friday, May 7. Dance the night away to your favorite LatinX hits.

Tony’s Hill Country Smoked Barbecue, Kona Ice Hill Country, and Hungry J’s Pizza food trucks will be open from 5-11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Beer, hard seltzers, and wine by the can will be available for purchase on Friday and Saturday. Purchase $5 drink tokens at the token booth to exchange for an alcoholic beverage at the concession stand located behind the restrooms. Must be 21 years of age or older. IDs will be checked.

The market opens for business at noon Saturday, May 8. Vendors will be available for your shopping pleasure until 10 p.m. Twenty-plus vendors are curated to offer a variety of goods, from woodcrafted art to beaded jewelry benefiting women in Uganda. There will be plenty of interesting booths to explore!

Family outdoor games will be available to enjoy near the amphitheater under the trees, So bring your A game and a picnic blanket!

Saturday’s live music lineup begins at noon with the Marble Falls High School Choir led by director Bryce Gage. They will perform — with short breaks —  through 3 p.m. The choir will be selling branded merchandise to help pay for an upcoming group trip.

Also on Saturday, Rojas, playing Spanish-inspired serenading tunes, takes the stage from 4-5:30 p.m. followed by local singer-songwriter Braedon Barnhill from 6-7:30 p.m. and The Selfless Lovers from 8-11:30 p.m. The Selfless Lovers are an Austin band known for their upbeat jazzy sound as well as covers. The festival will follow state COVID-19 guidelines by having extra hand sanitizing stations available throughout the park and signage with tips on ways to slow the spread of the virus. Respect your neighbors and have a great time! For more information on this event, visit!
