Grab a Bite to Eat at One of These New Marble Falls Restaurants

From fine dining to quick service, Marble Falls saw seven new eateries open in 2017.

The question “Where do you want to eat?” might take longer to answer in the Highland Lakes — and that’s a good thing! In 2017, Marble Falls added seven new eateries, from fine dining to quick service.

Time 2 Eat on Main, 204 Main St., is a welcome addition to Marble Falls’s historic downtown. Offering breakfast and lunch, this spot has a 1950s diner vibe with crisp red, white, and black decor. Breakfast is served 7-10:30 a.m. with a menu that includes Belgian waffles, pancakes, chicken-fried steak fingers and eggs, and, of course, homemade buttermilk biscuits and gravy. The lunch menu stirs the pot a bit with offerings such as chicken-fried bacon, an avocado stuffed with a scoop of Della’s chicken salad, Mike’s bacon-wrapped brat on a pretzel bun, and a homemade pimento cheese sandwich with a green chile twist. Time 2 Eat is open 7 a.m.-3 p.m. daily and closed on Wednesdays. Find it online at time2eatonmain.com or call (830) 693-9311.

Del Rio Comida Deluxe, 205 Main St., brings sophisticated fine dining to downtown. The menu draws influences from the “Texas Plains to the Gulf of Mexico” and has selections that are a feast for the eyes as well as the mouth. You will find hearty, Hill Country fare such as mesquite-grilled 1855 Brand steaks and fresh Gulf seafood. The brunch menu features items such as pumpkin pecan waffles and huevos rancheros. Del Rio is open 4-10 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. Find it online at delriocomidadeluxe.com or call (830) 220-5068 for reservations.

Pablito’s Taqueria, 1611 Broadway St., is a fresh face in town. This tiny, flaming orange restaurant cranks out authentic Mexican dishes. You will find everything from breakfast tacos to enchiladas to lengua (aka beef tongue) on the menu. Pablito’s is open 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Find it on Facebook @PablitosTacos.
