Country rockin' at North by Northwest Music Fest

Just North by Northwest from Austin is the site of an all-day music festival Oct. 1 with four great bands on one ticket.
The North by Northwest Music Festival takes place from noon to 9:30 p.m. that Saturday at Castle View RV Parks and Events at 9515 FM 2657 in the Kempner-Briggs area in eastern Burnet County.
Tickets are $10 each, which gets you in to see the following bands playing a mix of country, blues, and Southern rock:
- Boot Rock Boys — noon to 2 p.m.
- Nameless Road Band — 2:30-4:30 p.m.
- The Western Playboys — 5-7 p.m.
- High Strung — 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Food vendors will be on site all day long, but BYOB and your own chair for hydration and comfort.
