AquaBoom fireworks and music festival postponed, but some events will happen July 4 weekend

UPDATE: Kingsland AquaBoom organizers have postponed the fireworks show, Shin Dig-A-Palooza music festival, and washer tournament until Labor Day weekend due to concerns over the COVID19 pandemic.
The boat parade, golf tournament, and poker run remain scheduled:
FRIDAY, JULY 3
9 a.m.
AquaBoom annual golf tournament at Legends Golf Course, 105 Range Way Circle. Cost to participate in the four-person scramble is $320 per team or $80 per golfer. Call the pro shop at 325-388-8888 for more information.
5:45 p.m.
Boat parade begins at Wakepoint LBJ, 14757 RR 1431. Registration begins at 4:30 p.m.
SATURDAY, JULY 4
10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Poker Run on the River benefiting St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Register at Boat Town Burger Bar, 151 Melodie Lane. Cost to participate is $25 per hand. Last chance to register is 3 pm.
Also continuing is the Kingsland/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce's Spirit of Kingsland contest in which businesses show their American pride for prizes. Judging takes place at 9 a.m. July 2.
