Shop Marble Falls During Christmas Market on Main
MARBLE FALLS — With Christmas Market on Main on Dec. 9, there’s no need to head out of town to find unique gifts for everyone on your list.
The Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce event is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday on Main Street.
Chamber membership coordinator Sarah Cummings said that, along with several vendors, shop owners on Main Street will be standing outside their front doors with sample items from their stores.
“It keeps small businesses fresh on the brain,” she said. “We thought it was a great idea.”
Shoppers will find fine art, jewelry, organic soap, warm beverages, and homemade goodies. Live music will be heard from one end of the street to the other, and there will be a bounce house for the kids.
“We’ve asked merchants to serve hot chocolate and make it a festive event,” Cummings said. “Some of our vendors will have stuff for kids as well.”
Organizing the latest shopping event is one way of showcasing the city’s downtown businesses and what makes Marble Falls a great place to live, Cummings said.
“We really are trying to keep that small-business owner in mind,” she said. “You can come to Market Days to get something handmade and not deal with the hustle and bustle of the city.”
When residents shop locally, the benefits are enormous, Cummings added.
“That elevates our economy, our city’s morale,” she said. “Our community is a tight community. We want that small business to thrive. Our community takes care of each other. That helps our city grow to be better.”
