If you didn’t get your fill of Demolition Derby action in the spring, the Burnet County Rodeo Association is serving up a second helping of the smashing and bashing sport on Saturday, Oct. 9.

The Demolition Derby takes place at the Burnet County Fairgrounds, 1301 Houston Clinton Drive in Burnet. Gates open at 4 p.m., and the action starts at 6 p.m.

Admission is $20 for ages 10 and older, $5 for ages 6-9, and free for ages 5 and younger. You can bring your own beverages — no glass containers — for a $10 cooler fee. Concessions will be available.

The rodeo association hosted its 28th annual Bluebonnet Festival Demolition Derby in April and decided to add a fall event this year. The Oct. 9 derby features full-size and compact car classes.

The derby draws competitors from across Central Texas and beyond, including the Central Texas Demolition Derby.

You won't want to miss out on the fun.

The Demolition Derby serves as a fundraiser for the Burnet County Rodeo Association. For more information, call Rustey Ward at 512-234-0794 or Brent Nichols at 512-663-2856.
