Raise Your Voices and Spirits at ‘Sounds of Christmas’ Sing-Along
Are you trying to get into the Christmas spirit, but — despite the holiday lights and Hallmark Channel specials — you just can’t seem to. Well, you might need a good dose of Christmas music featuring a Carnegie Hall-performing choir.
Fortunately, you don’t have to leave the Highland Lakes to enjoy such a group.
First United Methodist Church of Marble Falls is hosting “Hear the Sounds of Christmas” at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16.
The concert includes the church’s choir, which, on Nov. 26, performed at Carnegie Hall. You can listen for yourself why they were selected to perform as part of Joseph Martin’s “The Winter Rose.”
The upcoming event isn’t just this choir. Music director Joni Bedard is including all the church’s choirs, handbells, and an orchestra for an evening of wonderful Christmas music.
They’ll perform a number of favorite Christmas songs and carols.
And, it’s a sing-along.
As Buddy the Elf said: “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loudly for all to hear.”
The concert is free to attend. The church is located at 1101 Bluebonnet Drive in Marble Falls. Go to fumcmarblefalls.com or call (830) 693-4341 for more information.
