Send a Hill Country Blenders serenade to your sweetheart
MARBLE FALLS — Do you want to make your special someone's day this coming Valentine's? Then why not get them a singing testament of your love to them.
Don't worry if you can't carry a tune because the Hill Country Blenders can hit all the right notes. The barbershop quartet group are taking requests for its annual Valentine's Day serenading.
The Hill Country Blenders, a local affiliate of the Barbershop Harmony Society, will head out Feb. 12-14 across the Highland Lakes with their "Singing Valentines.”
Along with the song, the recipient will also receive a red rose and a photograph of them with the quartet.
All it takes is a $35 donation to the Hill Country Blenders — which is probably less expensive than a dozen roses and a bit more memorable. With the donation, your special someone will get two songs from the sharply dressed quartet. It doesn't take much effort on your part to make someone feel incredibly special.
To schedule a quartet, contact Jim McCutchan at (325) 388-4446 or firstname.lastname@example.org by Feb. 10.
The quartets are available 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Feb. 12, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 13 and 1:30-5 p.m. Feb. 14.
