Jimmie Vaughan to Play FiestaJAM on Lake Marble Falls

MARBLE FALLS — The stars just keeping betting brighter for FiestaJAM on Lake Marble Falls as officials announced that Austin guitarist, bluesman, and rocker Jimmie Vaughan will be the 2017 headliner.

Vaughan, brother of the late Stevie Ray Vaughan, helped build the Austin and Texas music scenes. He’s shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the music business, himself among the greats though he remains humble.

Vaughan is just one of several musicians performing during the festival Oct. 20-22.

The festival kicks off with an intimate Songwriters in the Round Concert Under the Stars at Escondido Golf & Lake Club in Horseshoe Bay on Friday, Oct. 20, starting at 6 p.m with the Patrons of the Arts Reception and Social. The Songwriters in the Round show features Walt Wilkins, Drew Womack, Mike Blakely, and John Arthur Martinez.

Also on Oct. 20, but at Lakeside Park, FiestaJAM brings back KATTL, the winner of last year’s Battle of the Bands, as well as Dub Miller, Shea Abshier and The Nighthowlers, and Jeff Plankenhorn. The park is located at 307 Buena Vista Drive in Marble Falls.

On Oct. 21, the main event goes from 1-9 p.m. at Lakeside Park. Gates open at noon.

The Saturday lineup includes the Reno Perez Band playing mariachi mambo blues, Martinez, New Orleans brass funk band the Brass-A-Holics, Rex Schnelle with Next Exit and Sacred Space, Julian Acosta, and, of course, Vaughan.

On Sunday, Oct. 22, FiestaJAM is hosting a Concert of Faith with Sacred Space featuring Rex Schnelle and a special appearance by Next Exit, Branded, and George Gurganus.

First Baptist Church of Marble Falls will lead a community gospel band with performances by members of Elevate Church, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, First United Methodist Church as well as Dorey Stubblefield, Jesse Myer, Trey Berry, Jamie Graham, Ethan Leach, and Deborah Vanicek.

Along with the music, FiestaJAM also features wine and craft beers

Tickets for FiestaJAM are available per day or as a three-day pass with opportunities to add on late shows at local venues. Student and military discounts are available.

People can also purchase discounted Sunday-only tickets at First Baptist Church, 901 La Ventana Drive in Marble Falls.
