July 4 at Lake Marble Falls
From fireworks to food, the Marble Falls Independence Day Celebration will have something for everyone this year. Festivities are free and open to the public.
Fireworks shot from a barge in the middle of Lake Marble Falls will light up the night sky at 9:15 p.m. The best viewing spot is on the beach at Lakeside Park, 305 Buena Vista Drive. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
For safety reasons, glass containers and alcohol will not be allowed in the park.
Before the fireworks begin, guests can take a break from the July heat by swimming at the Lakeside Park swimming pool. From noon to 5 p.m., pool admission is free.
A variety of food vendors will be peppered throughout Lakeside Park beginning at 5 p.m. Live entertainment starts at 6 p.m. when Zeke Hamilton takes the stage at the Lakeside Pavilion patio. Red Carpet Chaos will follow at 7:45 p.m.
Parking for the event is available in both Lakeside Park and Johnson Park, 230 Avenue J. Parking is also available in the field across from the Johnson Park ballfield.
