WORTH THE DRIVE: Luckenbach Food Truck Festival is Saturday
Is there such a thing as too much of a good thing? Festival-goers at this weekend’s Luckenbach Food Truck Festival will likely beg to differ. The wagons will be circling at Luckenbach starting at noon on Saturday, June 29, for an event that celebrates Hill Country food trucks, Hill Country wineries, and live Texas music. Things wrap up at 8 PM.
More than a dozen food trucks representing the Austin-San Antonio-Fredericksburg region will be on the scene offering an eclectic assortment of foods. With names such as Grouchy Mommas, SaWeet Cupcakes, and Berbere Ethiopian, it’s going to be a food lover’s playground. Complementing the tasty chow will be a nice selection of Hill Country wines served by the wineries themselves.
No festival is complete without live music. The lineup covers many genres such as folk, soul, country, swing, and blues. Country artists include Bonnie Lang, Small Town Habit. Bo Porter and Trent Turner bring out the Texas blues, swing, and rockabilly. The Pat Byrne Band will add folksy soul.
Tickets for the event are $10 for ages 13 and older. Children 12 and younger get in free. Purchase tickets at HoldMyTicket.com.
The event benefits the Texas Center for Wine and Culinary Arts in Fredericksburg.
