Stop at Marble Falls Main Street Car Show
Even if you don't know the difference between a piston and a differential, you’ll find something that makes you brake at the 18th annual Main Street Car Show hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Marble Falls.
On Saturday, October 5, hot rods and classic and custom cars and trucks will line Main Street from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The event is free to spectators. You can peek under the hood of some of the original muscle cars or check out the rumble seat of an antique. (Did you know some people refer to the rumble seat as the mother-in-law seat? Wonder why?)
In 2018, the Main Street Car Show drew 94 participants with most of the entered vehicles from the 1940s through the 1960s. The Best in Show prize went to a red 1963 Chevy Corvette.
This year, Best in Show is again up for grabs. Car owners get to vote on the top 20 entries as well.
A cool thing about the Main Street Car Show, and car shows in general, is the owners. The folks behind the wheels of these vehicles love to talk about them, so ask plenty of questions — if you have the time.
The event also offers food and live music.
The Kiwanis Club will announce the winner of the Best in Show and top 20 entries at 3 p.m. Entry for car owners is $25 the day of the show.
Check out the Kiwanis Club of Marble Falls website for more on the car show and to learn what the club does around the community.
