Ropin’, ridin’ and wranglin’ at the 60th Marble Falls rodeo
MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls Open/Pro Rodeo has been helping cowboys and cowgirls chase their dreams for decades, and when the first wrangler hits the dirt at the Charley Taylor Rodeo Arena on July 15-16, the event marks its 60th anniversary.
And what keeps rodeo athletes coming back to Marble Falls and packing fans into the stands? Simply put: The Marble Falls Rodeo Association knows how to throw a heckuva show. And this year will be no different.
The Cadillac Rodeo Company returns loaded down with some of the best stock in the business. The Marble Falls rodeo is part of the Cadillac's "The Party's Not Over" tour.
Legendary rodeo clown and bullfighter Leon Coffee is back as barrel man.
Rodeo gates open at 6:30 p.m. each night with the performances cranking up at 8 p.m.
On Friday, tickets are $10 for adults on Friday; $5 for ages 6-12; and no charge for kids under 6.
On Saturday, tickets are $15 for adults; $5 for ages 6-12; and no charge for kids under 6. The Saturday ticket includes the Adam Fears concert and dance after the rodeo.
Folks can find concessions and vendors at the rodeo, but they can also bring in coolers.
On Saturday, check out the 2016 Marble Falls Rodeo Parade starting at 10 a.m. on Main Street in Marble Falls. It's a great way to help celebrate 60 years of rodeo fun and excitement.
People who can't wait until Friday or Saturday for some rodeo fun can also check out the slack performance July 14 at the arena starting at 8 p.m. There's no charge to watch.
