Reserve Spring Break state park passes now

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department officials recommend reserving day passes and camping slots now for Spring Break in state parks, including Inks Lake State Park in Burnet County. Staff photo by Daniel Clifton

If you want to visit a Texas state park during Spring Break, make your reservations now.

Day passes and camping slots can be hard to get during popular holidays such as Spring Break. Day passes and campsite reservations may be made online or by calling 512-389-8900. You can reserve a day pass up to 30 days before your arrival. Overnight and lodging reservations can be made, in most cases, up to five months in advance.

The state parks in the Highland Lakes are among the most popular in the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department system. Inks Lake State Park, Pedernales Falls State Park, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, and Colorado Bend State Park fill up quickly on weekends and holidays, so you might have a better shot at a mid-week slot. State park regulars should consider purchasing an Annual State Park pass.
