Seasoned racers and obstacle course newbies alike are invited to participate in the Austin Spartan Race on May 15-16 at Reveille Peak Ranch, 105 CR 114 in Burnet. Individuals and teams of all fitness levels are encouraged to join.

Spartan Races challenge participants mentally and physically. Racers compete against the clock and other participants as they face a variety of challenges spread across the obstacle course.

  • Spartan Super — This 10-kilometer race tests participants' strength and endurance against 25 obstacles.
  • Spartan Sprint — The 5-kilometer race is a faster experience featuring 20 obstacles. This is a Spartan classic and perfect for beginners.
  • Hurricane Heat A group effort, the race isn’t over until your last teammate finishes.
  • Kids' Race Start your Spartan early. Kids face miniature obstacles that mimic the adult races. Race lengths span from one-half mile to 2 miles.

All racers should wear athletic clothing and shoes and be prepared to get dirty. Register online now as spots are limited.

Those interested in the race, but not ready to run, can always watch. Spectators can purchase $20 festival day passes to cheer on racers and get a taste of the Spartan experience.
