'The Voice’ Contestant Joins Friend on Spicewood Stage for Concert
SPICEWOOD — For the second concert of its series, the Spicewood Arts Society welcomes a performer who appeared on a nationally televised talent show.
Collin Hauser and Stevie Jo Rosenbalm will entertain at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, on the Spicewood Vineyards Event Center stage, 1419 CR 409. Tickets are $40 for this show. You can still purchase a ticket package for the final three shows for $100.
Go to spicewoodarts.com to buy tickets in advance. They also will be available at the door.
An accomplished guitar player, Rosenbalm was on the sixth season of NBC’s singing competition “The Voice” and finished in the top 20. He is the lead singer of Limelight Band and has a musical style that ranges from alternative metal to soul.
Originally, Spicewood Arts Society members reached out to Hauser, who is friends with a Highland Lakes resident, but since he has been touring with Rosenbalm, Hauser asked if it would be OK to invite the former “Voice” contestant to perform in Spicewood with him.
Society members didn’t hesitate to say yes.
“We are hoping to give the two great young musicians a stage, and we hope everyone comes out and enjoys their music,” society publicity chairwoman Mary Ann Jurgens said.
Each artist writes his own music.
