MARBLE FALLS — After a three-year hiatus, the United Methodist Women’s style show and luncheon returns Saturday, Sept. 15.

But the steering committee wanted to pull a rabbit out of its collective hat to shake things up a bit, so they added magician Trixie Bond to the show.

The style show highlights fashions for the upcoming fall and winter months. Ten models will each wear two outfits from Bealls.

The event includes a meal of chicken salad, pasta salad, fruit, and dessert. Folks can even purchase a sweet or two from the bake sale.

“(Bond will) wander through the crowd to do fun activities for us,” said event committee member Jeanette Pickard. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1101 Bluebonnet Drive.

Tickets are $20 at the church office. Proceeds will benefit local charities and nonprofits.

“It should be a fun day for the ladies,” Pickard said.

Members of the church will bake their favorite sweets such as pies, cakes, and cookies, and donate them to the bake sale.

While you don’t have to purchase tickets in advance, committee members said that would help them get an accurate head count for the food.

Call Pickard at (830) 693-9815 for more information.
