Tickets on sale for UtopiaFest
Tickets are now on sale for the days-long party known as UtopiaFest, set for September 17-19 at Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet.
Ticket sales are capped at 2,000 due to COVID-19 restrictions. Hill Country favorite Shinyribs is one of dozens of musical acts taking the stage to entertain concertgoers of all ages. Along with original songs, the Austin-based band covers artists as varied as David Bowie, Willie Nelson, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Marvin Gaye, TLC, and Meghan Trainor. Founder and singer-guitarist Kevin Russell gives the band its musical direction, a mix of country soul and swamp funk. He was in another popular Austin-based band, The Gourds, which went on hiatus in 2013 after almost two decades together.
UtopiaFest organizers are finalizing the rest of the lineup, which will be announced in the coming weeks. Expect to see festival favorites as well as some surprises.
