Creep over to Hidden Falls Adventure Park for Zomboree
The only creeping thing you'll probably see at the annual Zomboree is a Jeep on rocks, but it's a fun name for a fun outing.
Though the October 12 event at Hidden Falls Adventure Park is geared toward four-wheeled drive enthusiasts, visitors can enjoy plenty of outdoor activities, including the Zombie Slayer Trap Shoot, the Kids' Corner with a bounce house and face painting, a scavenger hunt, a raffle, silent and live auctions, and a DJ playing music all day.
Hosted by the 5 Hills Jeeps Foundation, Zomboree offers organized and guided trail rides at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
And if you get hungry from playing outside, the American Girl Grill Food Truck will be on site.
Tickets for the event are $35 and include a T-shirt while supplies last, a meal ticket, and discounts for Hidden Falls entry, primitive camping, and the trap shoot. Tickets will be on sale at Hidden Falls on Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon.
The 5 Hills Jeeps Club, the driving force behind the foundation of the same name, isn’t just about off-roading. Members also support children, veterans, and elderly causes.
The Zomboree raises money each year for a youth-focused organization. This year, that's Bikers Against Child Abuse and two of its chapters: one serving the Highland Lakes and the other covering the Copperas Cove/Killeen area.
